The most anticipated fish business event of the year in Russia took place on September 14-16, 2017 in St.Petersburg.  Being organized and conducted under patronage of the Russian governmental Federal Agency for Fishery, it comprised the Fishery Forum and the Seafood Show and gathered fish industry professionals from all over Russia and 20 other countries.

The company of BAADER took an active and extensive part in both the forum and the trade show.  Mrs. Petra Baader welcomed the participants of the event from pages of the official catalogue and also participated as a speaker in the conference "New Development Strategy of Russian Fishery Industry”. In a brief speech Mrs. Baader noted those parts of the Russian fishery development program where BAADER is prepared to support Russian fishing and processing companies.

Mr. Robert Focke made a presentation of the company at the round table “Fishing Fleet of the Future” and highlighted the modern trends in on-board fish processing development. He reminded that BAADER has worked in Russia through the own representation for already 25 years and is ready to face new challenges in equipping new whitefish and pelagic fishing trawlers. Mr. Focke also touched the important topic of training engineers and technicians maintaining fish processing equipment and disclosed plans of joint activities in this direction with Russian educational institutions.

It is the first time that BAADER presented at a Russian trade show the newest filleting machine for small whitefish Baader 588. Numerous visitors of the BAADER booth, Mr. Arkady Dvorkovich, Russia’s deputy prime minister and Mr. Ilya Shestakov, the country’s deputy minister of agriculture and fishery agency head being among those, took the opportunity not only to appreciate the excellent design of the machine, but also to watch its live operation in processing Alaska Pollack on real fish raw material. Prospects of BAADER increased involvement into the fishery business in Russia have been negotiated later on during the working meeting between the Russian governmental officials and the BAADER delegation led by the company’s top management.

The closing part of the company's participation in the exhibition consisted in a buffet reception for Russian customers and partners in honor of the BAADER’s 25th anniversary of presence in Russia.
